Bicycle Belle –December Dealer Of The Month

There are many bicycle shops in the Boston area but Bicycle Belle in Somerville is unlike any of the others. Owner Carice Reddien opened her shop in 2013 to cater specifically to cyclists not being well served by traditional IBDs. Bicycle Belle is a family friendly, cyclist friendly shop that has developed a very loyal customer base in the 4 years they’ve been open.

Bicycle Belle focuses on transportation bicycles. You’ll find comfortable city bikes from such brands as Biria, Bobbin, Brooklyn, and Papillionaire as well as cargo bikes from Xtracycle and Workcycles.

Carice is a long time cycling enthusiast who rides her bike for transportation.   She has pedaled her way around Milan, Salt Lake City, Houston and now Boston. As a mom with 2 children under 3 you will frequently see Carice arriving at the shop on her Bakfeits cargo bike with one of her daughters happily riding along.

As a family shop Bicycle Belle offers an extensive selection of Nutcase in Street, Little Nutty and of course Baby. Parents just can’t resist the cute designs and kid-friendly fidlock. They’ll add Metroride as well in 2017 for their commuting customers. Strong sellers this past season included Dots, Mini Dots, and In Bloom in the Street category and nearly every design in both Baby and Little Nutty.   They’re really excited about the new Little Nutty designs for spring- especially Tin Robot, Ahoy, and Flutterby.  And of course, they’re always well stocked on cute matching bells!

Nutcase is a great fit for Bicycle Belle and their customers.
