All their lives, Paul and Maggy have been passionate about what they were doing: Enjoying life while helping other people enjoy theirs. They met in the adventure travel business, as the company Paul worked for in California sent hikers to the company Maggy worked for in Peru.
Paul spent 20 years in the travel business as a financial executive and Maggy has been an interior designer for 15 years. In 2011, they looked for a business to buy that had a product that brings a smile. Scooters were it! They bought Vespa Portland in May, 2012 and have enjoyed every day since.
The two mechanics stayed with the shop and continue to do their top-notch work now. Pedro Galvan has been the lead mechanic at Vespa Portland for over five years and is a graduate of the prestigious Motorcycle Mechanics Institute in Phoenix, AZ. He is certified to work on scooters/cycles made by Vespa, Piaggio, Genuine, SYM, Ural as well as several other brands. Our other outstanding mechanic, Nick Zehrung, joined the company two years ago.
Paul and Maggy say it best: “Although this story is ‘about us’, you the customer is what makes ‘us’ happen. Paul and Maggy continue, this time about Nutcase: “We are very excited to be Nutcase’s Moto helmet distributor, in fact the only one in Portland right now! The helmets were a big success at the launching party here at the dealership. Now we have them in stock and ready to sell! Our helmet selection has been greatly improved with the quality and colors. Before our helmets were primarily gray, white and black. We’re very proud to sell such a good product distributed from Portland no less!”
