Mike Powell Wins the Sponsor My Head Contest!
Congratulations to Mike Powell of Ontario! Mike is the Grand Prize winner of the Sponsor My Head contest put on by Nutcase Helmets and BrainTrust Canada. He will receive $5,000, a limited edition Nutcase helmet, a helmet camera, and an honorary place as a Nutcase team rider!
BrainTrust Canada is a community rehabilitation organization dedicated to being a leader in brain injury prevention, and its objective is to put helmets on heads and prevent brain injuries.
“Sponsor My Head was a ‘contest with a conscience’,” says Magda Kapp, Director of Communications for BrainTrust Canada. “The largest age group for risk of brain injury is youth, especially 13 - 24 year olds, and if we prevent even one brain injury it will have been well worth it.”
The contest was created by TAXI Canada’s Vancouver office, with other partners SMAK, Fatbox web hosting and Menzies Printers. The contest included ‘street washing’ (stencils of the sponsormyhead.com logo on pavement), as well as outdoor posters and in-store collateral materials in select Canadian cities. Participants received a free Nutcase Helmet and were asked to submit a video of themselves wearing their helmet while doing a ‘street sport’ of their choice. Second place winner Colin Bridger receives $1,000, Nutcase merchandise and a helmet camera, and 3rd place winner Noel Wosu receives $500, Nutcase merchandise and a helmet camera.
Thank you to everyone who entered the contest and congratulations again to Mike, Colin and Noel!
